From December 17 to 18, 2023, the 8th National Youth Artificial Intelligence Innovation and Entrepreneurship Conference was successfully held in Shenzhen, Guangdong Province, hosted by the China Artificial Intelligence Association, organized by the CAAI Youth Working Committee, Harbin Institute of Technology (Shenzhen), and Guangdong Provincial Key Laboratory of Security Intelligence New Technologies, and co-organized by the Guangdong Computer Society, Shenzhen Computer Society, and Shenzhen Ha Shen Asset Management Co., Ltd. The conference was chaired by CAAI Vice Chairman, Professor Liu Hong of Peking University, CAAI Secretary-General Wang Weining, Honorary Director of CAAI Youth Working Committee, Professor Wang Xuan of Harbin Institute of Technology (Shenzhen), Chairman Ding Mingfeng of Hechuang Capital, Dr. Xiao Jing, Chief Scientist of Ping An Group, and Professor Jiang Yong of Tsinghua University. The conference was co-chaired by Professor Gong Maoguo of Xidian University, Director of CAAI Youth Working Committee, and Professor Xu Ruifeng of Harbin Institute of Technology (Shenzhen), Deputy Director of Youth Working Committee, and Professor Chen Wenbai of Beijing Information Science and Technology University, and Professor Shi Shaohuai of Harbin Institute of Technology (Shenzhen). The opening ceremony of the conference was held on December 17. Cao Huan, Director of the Science and Technology Innovation Bureau of Nanshan District, Shenzhen, first expressed warm congratulations on the holding of this conference on behalf of the Nanshan District Science and Technology Innovation Bureau, and then introduced the rich scientific and technological innovation resources and strong industrial foundation of Nanshan District in supporting artificial intelligence innovation and entrepreneurship. He said that he welcomes outstanding talents and teams to gather in Nanshan to jointly promote the development of artificial intelligence innovation and entrepreneurship.

In the special report session of the conference, Professor Zhang Yongbing, a national leading talent of Harbin Institute of Technology (Shenzhen) and winner of the second prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award, Mr. Zhu Weihua, head of Tencent's AI and Big Data Industry-University-Research University Cooperation, Mr. Tang Zujia, Managing Partner of Shenzhen Hechuang Capital Management Co., Ltd., Mr. Lei Yu, winner of the Entrepreneurship Group of previous competitions and Chief Technology Officer of Shenzhen Deli Technology Co., Ltd., and Associate Professor Wu Yue of Xidian University, winner of the Innovation Group of previous competitions, Secretary-General of the CAAI Youth Working Committee, gave presentations entitled "Full-slice Scanning Pathology Imaging and Intelligent Analysis", "Tencent Industry-University Cooperation Technological Innovation Exploration and Practice", "Artificial Intelligence Industry Development from the Perspective of the New Economic Cycle", "Smart Legal Platform Based on AI Big Model", and "Three-Dimensional Point Cloud Collaborative Intelligent Perception".

On the afternoon of the 17th, the conference officially entered the reporting and review phase of each team. The participating teams came from Beijing, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Chongqing, Hebei, Shandong, Shaanxi and other places. The review committee was composed of 15 experts from universities, research institutes, senior high schools, investment institutions, science and technology associations and other units. After project roadshows, expert Q&A, expert guidance and expert voting, the final winning projects of this conference were selected. At 6 pm, a grand award ceremony was held.

On the morning of the 18th, Researcher Zong Rui from the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Digital Economy Research Institute, Assistant Professor of Southern University of Science and Technology and ACM SIGSOFT Outstanding Paper Award winner Dr. Zhang Yuqun, Assistant Professor of the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (Guangzhou) and IEEE TPDS Best Paper Award winner Dr. Wen Zeyi, and Dr. Bai Songnan from the City University of Hong Kong respectively gave presentations titled "A Second-Level Data Query Framework Based on Fully Homomorphic Cryptography Technology", "Let's Talk About Intelligent Software Testing", "Performance Optimization and Hyperparameter Tuning of Traditional Machine Learning Algorithms", and "A Dual-Mode Flying Robot that Can Efficiently Hover and Fly in a Straight Line".

The top artificial intelligence conference paper presentation held on the afternoon of the 18th invited 11 speakers from various colleges and universities to share and report on their academic papers, attracting the participation of more than 40 teachers and students on campus, and the on-site discussion atmosphere was lively.

The participating projects included robot brains based on multimodal large models, virtual power plants and power trading systems based on intelligent game decision-making technology, high-efficiency storage and computing integrated chips, large-space immersive digital education multi-dimensional teaching overall solutions, and indoor environment IoT SaaS platforms based on digital twins.
